In my opinion, Arnold Newman Self-Portrait is a quality self-portrait picture. It is unique to me because it seems like this picture was taken by someone else. The way he doesn't stair straight at the camera and look the other way around makes it different. Others tend to take pictures by looking into the camera to see what it would look like.

A good Self-Portrait should atleast considered Rules of Photography in it. The lighting and where to take the picture is another one. When taking self-portrait, you want to make it a unique and special picture of yourself. Whether you want it to take it through a mirror or use a tripod to take your photo. The setting and background of where you're going to take the self portrait picture is important. A good choice of background will make your picture stands out and more revealing then a boring old self-portrait picture.
