Newspaper Notes

There are two sizes of newspaper.
 - Broad sheet (most of the U.S paper) almost always 4 stories
 - Tabloid (square alike) 1 maybe 2 stories
Flag or Maskhead - has the name of the paper in it.
Teaser - Preview of picture that will makes reader want to read it.
Folio - Slogan/Motto, School name, published date, page number, title of newspaper, section titles.
Headlines - draw viewer attention, description of what you're going to read about.
Picture - should have one dominate photo.
Sub-headline - should have one sub headline per page on a broad sheet paper. Gives more detail and        
           complete sentences.
Captions - There are three part of captions.
 - Caption head-line - gives inside of picture and what viewers going to read from the picture.
 - Bi line - Person name, and position of that person.
 - Actual Caption - Who, what, when, where, why, how sentence. Then background information sentence.
Stories - JUMP at the end of stories for reader to look for the pages.
Infographic - Information in graphic form. Extra information that's added.
3 things should be on front cover newspaper - Volume, Number, and Table of content.
Staff box - important in every news paper and have three parts.
 - The whole staff team along with their position, Policy of Newspaper, and Organization newspaper belong to.
The most important story should be on top, above the fold.
